THE SQUARE BALL SAYS: Hugely
popular and a huge player for Leeds. He gives
it everything and is one of us on the pitch though
with a touch more skill. El Tel has already spoken
out that he must control his passion but mustn't
lose it at the same time. We can't be doing with
the likes of Smithy being suspended from matches
and hopefully he can be guided the right way forward.

Pity about the World Cup but plenty more to come.

I think we will see a battle up front between
Keane and Smithy this season. I would love to
see the two of them playing together upfront,
which is something we haven't really seen yet.

more potential than any other striker in the country
and i think with more england call ups he will
be the next alan shearer.He is already the next

KELLY SAYS: His work rate
is amazing. He's never seemed fazed by big games,
the bigger the reputation the more he goes to
war with them it's a great a'tude to have. He's
strong and aggrssive but that's what makes him
different for most forwards in the game today.
It's not often you see a forward in a two on one
situation lose the ball only to win it back not
once but twice then win a corner (Chelsea game).
He is the future of England. The only reason he'll
not get chosen is coz he isn't used to playing
with the other forwards. I love to watch Leeds
play they've got real pace and strength. They
are not dirty! They will beat Man U to the title
and win everything else!!! May 2001
