ROQUE HATER SAYS: the thing
was with roque junior, he never seemed to know
where he was playing, and niether did peter ried.
during the pompey game at fratton park, he was
moved to midfield even tho matteo cud have played
there, with roque at the back. someone pleese
explain these tactics to me. April 2004

simply terrible central defender! With him we've
lost 4-0 to liecter and everton, and 6-1 to pompey!

THE SQUARE BALL SAYS: Peter
Reid seems to stand steadfastly by Roque Junior,
almost defending the indefensible. Roque Junior
has won World Cups and the Champions League...but
doesn't look like it! I remain a little unconvinced
with him and thing he's decidedly sketchy at present
in the Premiership. I'd love to say 'give him
time' but we're 17th in the league as I write
and I'd rather have someone who can hoof it, kick
van Nistelrooy and get a booking than him at present.
We'll see though. Oct
